Our Company

Oasis Production Services sprang from our
experiences with our own production company,
Poolside Films. Our team came together with
a passion for film making that combined
creative inspiration and technological
experience. We believe that the
entertainment industry is on the verge of a
digital revolution. The technology
needed to create projects equal in quality
to 35 mm film, but on a 16 mm budget, have
finally come together. The unique and
diverse backgrounds of our team members have
allowed us to position ourselves on the
cutting edge of this revolution.
At Oasis Production Services, we strongly
believe that the digital tools and
technological advancements now available to
the entertainment industry allow filmmakers
a new freedom. The entire production
team can work together from the very
beginning of a project to create a cohesive
and well thought out creative plan.
For example, preproduction can now include
discussions between the Cinematographer and
Colorist which usually only take place after
principal photography has finished. By
having these discussions and making
decisions in advance, a
filmmaker can all but eliminate the need for
costly digital corrections during
postproduction. The whole way we
approach filmmaking is changing as we
harness these new and exciting tools.

Jim Hays - CEO, Executive Producer
With more than 20 years in the information and
technology sector, Jim spent much of this time
training and consulting with businesses to improve
their processes and increase their profits.
Over
the past 7 years, Jim has used his
experience to bring new perspective and innovation
to the printing industry by developing new
technologies to streamline vital processes.
During this time he began to find his passion in
theater and the entertainment industry. He now
brings his technological experience exclusively to
the entertainment sector where his innovative ideas
have created new processes that not only streamline
production, but help to keep costs to a minimum.
Heather Hays - Producer
Growing up in
the Silicon Valley, Heather was raised with
computers. Technology is second nature to her.
When she earned her BA in
Drama from the University of California at Irvine,
she had hands on training in everything from
lighting design to costume design, props to set
dressing, and more. Since then, she has worked with world
renowned Los Angeles production companies like the
Center Theater Group, Mark Taper Forum, and various
youth outreach programs. Her practical knowledge
and experience lends to great problem solving skills
when it comes to tight budgets. Heather also
has extensive "in front of camera" experience
which is not only vital in casting, but lends a
unique perspective to every project.

Oasis Production Services has a large team of contractors
specializing in additional fields with whom we have
built great working relationships. Whether
your project needs just a camera operator pulling
triple duty as your audio technician and
cinematographer all at the same time, or a full
blown, on site, production crew, we will assemble
the perfect team to fit your needs and your budget.
