The 3D industry is evolving rapidly with almost daily announcements of new technologies, equipment and production strategies. As part of its responsibility to help drive the industry forward, The Edge 3D is launching in late summer a Training Division that will offer a range of 3D course for producers, directors, DPs and other creative professionals. Courses are designed to provide class-room and hands on experience and are appropriate to job function. Specifically course are designed for Producers, Line Producers, Union Production Managers, Directors/ADs and DPs/AC/Operators. Following provides and overview of upcoming course. Track One
For: Producers/Line Producers/Unit Production Manager/Directors
Description: One-Day Seminar Class to provide understanding of how 3d production works, including basic and advanced concepts, equipment, work flow, budgeting, and typical 3d production organization chart with roles and responsibilities. Course includes binder with detailed info as take away. Maximum Class Size: 20-30

Track Two
For: Producers/Line Producers/Unit Production Manager/Directors
Description: One-Day Seminar Class on how to do 3D budgeting, including examples and detailed handouts

For DPs/ACs/Operators
Description: Two-Day Hands-On Class to provide overview of the 3D production process, information about digital workflow, digital lab and digital dailies, overview of all equipment and hands on work with 3D rigs for test shoot, budget impact and understanding of basic post-production integration. Leave behind is actual footage, binder with detailed equipment lists and digital workflow flowchart.

For Directors/ADs
Description: Two-Day Hands-On Class to provides overview of the 3D production process, information about digital workflow, digital lab and digital dailies, overview of equipment and hands on work with 3D rigs for test shoot. Also includes overview of 3D budgeting and working with 3D post-production concepts and challenges. Leave behind is actual footage, binder with detailed equipment list, digital workflow flow chart and budget worksheets.
